Dealin' Reel: Episode 3 - For Keeps

I recently had the pleasure of discovering this 1988 film.  Skeptical at first (as always), I began watching itpraying that it wasn't going to be some other type of movie.  I was pleasantly surprised and found it an enjoyable viewing.

The story presented by this movie is that of two teenagers, young, and in love.  Like many such couples will do, they allowed themselves to become carried away - lost in a moment of bliss.  One can easily guess the consequences of their actions. 

Their families become angry over the subject and attempt to force their children into one of two decisions they do not wish to make.  Having suffered through the reactions of their parents, the two teens decide to move out on their on.

The movie covers the hardships and trials of early marriage and parenthood.  I felt that it was quite true to what real life would be for such a couple.  They learn to love each other no matter what, and find that sacrifice with communication is what will get them through the difficulties ahead. 

This story was truly uplifting and I recommend it for anyone.
