Not to give the story away, but Harvey writes jingles for commercials, though he originally wanted to be a jazz pianist. He arrives in Britain for a wedding, only to have the entire day (wedding included) go completely and utterly not the way he would have liked. In the process, he meets (and is quite rude to) a woman working at the airport. He later sees her again, apologizes, and the two of them began talking and cultivating a friendship.
Not only does Harvey's new friend bring out the best in him, but she also appears to complete him in other ways as well. They are a true couple, without the strings of time attached just yet.
My personal opinion of this movie is that it is one of the sweetest, most love-filled ones I have seen in quite some time. It is "raw love" minus the ultra-perversion that is so many romantic comedies today. I found it a very "cute" movie with a precious message. The message being that love may not always be where one normally looks, and neither does it freeze itself in one tradition or another. It simply is.
I still need to see this movie.
