Dealin' Reel: Episode 5 - Toy Story 3

This is for Stacy, who has asked that I review Toy Story 3.

I'll start off by saying that I'm not a Toy Story fan, and this is the first of the movies I've watched in full.  To be honest, I think them best for young children, and therefore, am rather bored by them.

The movie is fairly wholesome, and has the appearance of having "grown up with" the children who enjoyed the first Toy Story adventure.  In this particular version, Andy, the owner of the toys, has grown up and is a teenager about to leave for college.  The toys are obviously unhappy and concerned that they will become castoffs.  At one point, some of them are accidentally donated to a day care center where they find an evil [accidental] castoff toy with a bone to pick with society, and refuses to accept that there may be good children in the world.

The movie is filled with alliterations to other films (some of which are more young adult friendly in nature).  It is obvious that Pixar and Disney worked hard to make this a film that adults could enjoy with their children, which I give them props for.  The movie looked to be something that could be enjoyable to others if (unlike me) they do not find it a little degrading to their intelligence.

That being said, I personally go do without seeing it again, but I will neither recommend it nor dissuade anyone else from watching.

Thank you for reading, and keep daring!!
